I have a potential buyer but can they get me to the closing table ??

  1. Do they have the money?
  2. Do they have the ability to be approved by landlord? (#1 reason for deals failing to close)
  3. Do they have the ability to be approved by a lender for financing?
  4. Do they have the ability to be approved by your franchisor (if applicable)
  5. Are they going to waste your time?
  6. Wouldn’t it be better to have more than 1 buyer competing to buy your business?
  7. What’s the fair market value of your business? (You need to know if you’re being reasonable or, conversely, leaving money on the table by accepting a low offer)
